Located in the Villa des Arenes, a beautifull 17th century nuilding, the Matisse museum has been open since 1963. The permanent exhibition presents - among other things - paintings, sculptures, pictures and objects which belonged to the painter.

This exhibition is interesting because of its presentation of Matisse's artistic evolution and his inroads in the use of colour, from the first paintings of 1890 to the cutouts of the end of his life.

  • A Tourist Train in Nice: Discover the city

  • National Museum Marc Chagall: A one-of-a-kind museu

Enter the exciting universe of this artist through rainbow-coloured large paintings, and discover his life, his passions and his inspirations as represented by the poetic images in his paintings.

At the national museum Marc Chagall (a 15 minute walk from our hotels), you can enjoy the permanent collection as well as temporary exhibitions with guided tours led by cultural mediators of the Union of national museums.

  • Christmas in Nice : Stolen pictures

Like everybody, we can't wait for Christmas... So we went to Place Masséna to see what they were preparing

The Christmas Village opened on December 5th, but we went there before it opened to check it out. The trees were already there and the chalets as well.

Like last year, a competition is being organized for best balcony illuminations. To enter, go to Nice Convention and Visitors Bureau

 - A Christmas Village and a living nativity scene will bring a Christmas atmosphere to Nice

The Christmas Village will be created at Place Massena: a forest of 600 Christmas trees, a parade, small chalets to present local craft items, merry-go-rounds and much more...
Open every day from December 5th 2009 to January 6th 2010, from 11am to 8pm:
